Feel the warmth and pride of workmanship in this home which has been restored to its quiet elegance of 1918. The Visitor Centre has an interpretive gallery to learn about previous generations of the Harris and Sayers families and discover how Benares came to be. Benares is said by some to the inspiration for the famed Whiteoaks of Jalna novels by Canadian author Mazo de la Roche, who lived in a cottage nearby.
