The center is the pinnacle for performing arts in the city core. The Living Arts Centre features first class performances nightly, including ocal groups such as the Mississauga Choral Society, Opera Mississauga and the Mississauga Symphony.
The stages of the world-class theatres are home to the best in drama, dance, music, variety, and comedy. Want to eat a wonderful dinner before the show? Enjoy the Live Cuisine Restaurant, an in-house fine dining establishment that prepares gourmet food in a buffet style.
The Live Cuisine is open on many performance nights plus weekdays for lunch. If you enjoy arts and crafts, you’ll be happy to know that this venue is home to a state-of-the-art modern visual arts facility. Visitors (children, teens and adults) can learn to paint or draw, create pottery, blow glass, enhance their photography skills, or practice woodworking.
Activities are constantly expanding and changing. All of the Living Arts Centre’s workshops are professionally staffed and designed for artists of all ages. The Living Arts Centre is a 225,000 square foot multi-use facility, which opened in 1997. The Centre is visited by over 300,000 visitors annually, who come to view performing and visual arts programs, attend corporate meetings/conventions, or participate in a variety of community events. The Living Arts Centre houses performance theatres, an exhibition gallery, eight professional art studios and corporate meeting facilities.
